About Our CEO

Lisa Johnson graduated with honors from Spelman College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She went on to be the recipient of a Rackham Merit Fellowship from the University of Michigan and earned a Master’s Degree in Education as well as teaching credentials in both mathematics and economics there.

Lisa taught at several independent schools in Los Angeles. She transitioned from teaching to tutoring and business owner when she opened Mathtopian Preparation in Los Angeles. In 2017 she expanded the business and added an office in Atlanta. After completing the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, she expanded again to include a government division.

Mathtopian Preparation, Inc. is an Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) certified by the Small Business Association (SBA).
